Usein Bekirov and “Kyiv Soloists”

February 2, the long-awaited premiere project of Usein Bekirov “Awakening” and union of musical talents, like the National Chamber Orchestra “Kyiv Soloists“, Igor Zakus, Victor Pavelko, Eugene Uvarov, Maxim Kondratenko at the Caribbean Club.

Usain Bakirov is a master of jazz improvisation, a talented composer, an arranger and a creator of original jazz bands with a bright copyright repertoire. In 2006, he participated in a solo project of Jamala at Jazz Koktebel Festival, and he presented the album «Taterrium» on the 14th of April 2016.

«Taterrium» is a kind of a summary of creative decades by Bekirov. More than 20 musicians worked on the album: Maxim Malyshev, Andrey Kuzminchuk, Jamala, Artem and Vladimir Lebedevy, Evgeniy Didyk and others.

The first jazz lessons Usain received from his father, a famous jazz musician Riz Bekirov. Pianist inspired by the music of Vagif Mustafa-Zadeh, McCoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock, Brad Meldo and David Garfield and graduated from the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after P. Tchaikovsky.

“Kyiv Soloists” is constant participants of festivals and concerts in Ukraine and abroad. On XXX the Vienna International Festival-contest, they received the Grand Prix and the first prize in the category “Chamber Orchestras” and “All the bands.”

“Soloists” is the first and only team that has charmed the demanding audience of Singapore and it legendary political leader, the “Father of Nations” Lee Kuan U. Ensemble gave a concert in Vienna (Austria) on the occasion of the inauguration of Ukraine’s OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and performed in such famous halls as the Luxembourg Palace, and UNESCO in Paris, the Komische Oper in Berlin, the Grand National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Radiokulturhaus in Viena, World exhibition “Expo-2005” in Japan. “Kyiv Soloists” represented Ukraine at the EU summit in Brussels, where he played in the best hall of Belgium “Flagey“.

For contributions to the representation of Ukrainian culture in the world the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has assigned “Soloist” the title of “Ambassador of the Ukrainian culture.”
