11 December CLOSED
The music of Michael and Randy will sound on the 11th of May n the Caribbean Club. Michael and Randy Brecker are two talented brothers under whose disco hit Sneaking Up Behind You only the laziest did not dance in 1976. They are masters of jazz-rock and fusion, the Brecker Brothers. And how else was it to call the brothers?
And no less outstanding Ukrainian jazzmen will play tributes to outstanding American jazzmen. Among them are Dennis Adu, Dmitry Alexandrov, Rodion Ivanov, Mikhail Bankovsky, Nikolai Kistenev and Sergei Balalaev. Their names are known, their talent is applauded outside of Ukraine, they have played and continue to play in a variety of projects and collectives.
Six Ukrainian virtuosos will play fusion and jazz-rock of Brecker Brothers in their own way on the 11th of May.
Michael (tenor saxophone) and Randal (trumpet) joined the jazz from an early age. Thank their father, amateur pianist. Each of them went its own musical road, but sooner or later (in 1975) they were destined to converge on the same path.
The musicians give out the Heavy Metal Be-Bop disc in 1978 and … this name completely reflects the album’s content: noisy jazz-rock with a lot of riffs and heavy drums. Recorded live in New York, this explosive musical cocktail is no doubt ahead of its time.
Lofty, rhythmic jazz funk, seasoned with saxophone and trumpet, powerful bass, heavy guitar riffs and energetic drumbeat – briefly, the music of Brecker Brothers can be described in this way.
Do not miss the only Tribute to Brecker Brothers concert from Ukrainian virtuosos in the cozy, truly jazz atmosphere of the Caribbean Club!
