Music of Rafal Sarnecki

January 24, Caribbean Club Concert-Hall Music will be filled with the music of famous New York-based guitarist and composer Rafal Sarnetski by young jazz musicians of Ukraine.

Born in Warsaw in 2002, Rafal won the International Competition of jazz guitarists «Guitar City», and in 2005 moved to New York, where he devoted himself entirely to study and music. There he graduated with honors from the University of “New School” (The New School) and holds a Master of Arts in the field of jazz music, defended it in the New York School of Music of Aaron Copland.

Gifted guitarist was fortunate enough to engage with such outstanding representatives of New York jazz scene like, Paul Bollenbeck, Buster Williams, Reggie Vorkmen and Peter Bernstein. Rafal took part in the projects of Lucas Pino, Annie Chen, David Bertrand, Leonora Felkona and traveled with a tour to 11 European countries, Israel, China, Korea, Malaysia, and the entire territory of the United States.

In January 2008 the first disc of the young jazzman «Songs From A New Place» was released. It was nominated for “Frederick”, the main prize in the Polish record. By February 2011, the second disc «The Madman Rambles Again» was presented to the public. It’s difficult to describe the music of Rafal Sarnetski. His work is really complex and requires special attention from the audience. This is, above all, intelligent music.
