Dennis Adu Septet

Enjoy a live performance of Ukrainian jazz band Dennis Adu Septet on September 20 as this will be something you don’t want to miss. Musicians have prepared their special instrumental performance called «New Old Standarts». This evening you will hear some good old jazz standards in the new exciting arrangements.

Dennis Adu Septet is a band of seven talented musicians lead by a gifted trumpeter Dennis Adu. The band has rich experience grounded in years of practice and successful performances all across the globe.

It all started with an old Louis Armstrong’s cassette that was given to Dennis by a friend. Those first jazz compositions he heard on the tape have completely upturned Denis’s life and influenced his choice of career. Adu began his path in a Child orchestra of Alexander Gebel back in his hometown, Kryvyi Rih. His first performances were soon followed by a series of music festivals and awards («Jazz on the Dnieper» (Dnipro), «In memory of L. Ytiosov» (Yuzhne), «Millau en Jazz» (France), «Fel du Sher» (France), «Jazz a Vienn» (Vienne), «Jazz carnival in Odessa», «Koktebel Jazz Festival»). Today Dennis is the leader of several jazz acts (Dennis Adu Big Band, Dennis Adu Quintet, Dennis Adu Septet) and the youngest music teacher at R. Glier’s Kyiv Institute of Music.
