11 December CLOSED
Treat yourself to an evening of good old jazz in the best traditions of the golden era of “great romantics”. The hit songs of Frank Sinatra, Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong and other legends will be performed by one of the best jazz singers of the new generation, Grand Prix winner of Duke Ellington Jazz Vocal Competition, Monterey Jazz Festival and Shure Montruex Jazz Award – Charles Turner III.
“Voice of love” – this is what his fans in California call him. Girls adore Charles for his effulgence and sunny timbre, and men for an example of what kind of person they should be and how to sing in order to captivate women’s hearts.
The owner of a rare voice type – a lyric tenor with a unique, total original manner of performance, Turner quickly attracted the attention of the American jazz press and radio stations. Performances with multiple Grammy owners Bobby McFerrin, Terri Lyne Carrington, Dave Samuels, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Joanne Brackeen and other stars of modern jazz are behind him. His debut album was produced by multiple Grammy winner, iconic drummer Ulysses Owens.
His quartet constantly performs on the main jazz stages of New York: Smoke Jazz, Super Club, Birdland, Ginny’s Supper Club, Smalls, Mintons Playhouse, Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, even at Carnegie Hall.
We’ll be expecting you on October 26 at the Caribbean Club to enjoy modern American jazz! The concert starts at 19:00.
Fan-zone – free space intended for enjoying the event without a specific predestinated seat.
