ZAPPA FOR PRESIDENT

And it is only a small part of the extraordinary and significant achievements of Frank Zappa.

On the 7th of February, Ukrainian group “SЮR BAND” will show the program of fantasies to the music of this musical genius in Caribbean Club.

The unpredictable, explosive, caustic, quirky, sincere, avant-garde, obscene, dadaist … as it is written in the “New York Times“, he was “a perfect idol and classic of rock.”

The artistic heritage of Frank Zappa is truly grand. He mixed country, classical, reggae, rock and roll, rhythm and blues and jazz and flavored this crazy cocktail with percussion and sound effects.

Frank influenced the development of music of various genres. Year after year, all over the world festivals are organized in his honor. And for the first time Ukrainian group “SЮR BAND» has participated at one of these festivals (we are talking about the festival «Zappanale» in Germany).

This project is one of the undertakings by brothers Dmitry and Sergei Radzetskih, known in Ukraine as tireless experimenters.

February 7, a group of “SЮR BAND» with it 10 musicians will perform their fantasies on the Zappa music and demonstrate the bizarre musical performance in Frank’s spirit with all its features: humor, theater, absurd, jazz, satire, rock and virtuosity.
