Merry Swinging Christmas | Aniko Dolidze Big Band

December 30 – A Christmas evening for lovers of orchestral jazz and the swing era, performed by Aniko Dolidze Big Band.

Ukraine’s leading jazz musicians, led by the enchanting Aniko Dolidze, present a festive program titled Merry Swinging Christmas.

Merry Swinging Christmas is a holiday miracle multiplied by the magic of swing. Seventeen instrumentalists, along with the soloist and project leader Aniko Dolidze, will reunite on stage to fulfill their primary creative mission – to bring joy to their listeners.

Like all beautiful things, Aniko Dolidze’s orchestra was born out of immense love – a love for swing. That’s why the concert program includes classic Christmas songs in swing arrangements, as well as hits by Glenn Miller Orchestra from the iconic movie Sun Valley Serenade, which have become symbols of New Year and Christmas celebrations.

A Christmas Song, Jingle Bells, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, Santa Claus Is Coming to Town – these melodies fill the air as the holidays approach. While we rush to buy gifts, wrap up the year’s tasks, greet loved ones, and attend holiday parties, we often miss the essence of the Christmas spirit – the one that lives in old movies, the scent of tangerine peels, jingling bells, and a passerby’s unexpected smile.
