“Jazz ring ‘s” with Dennіs Adu

The unprecedented project “Jazz Ring” from February 20 at Caribbean Club Concert-Hall! Dennis Adu, a prominent Ukrainian trumpeter, as a referee.

The first action is a fierce musical duel of several rounds. Two Ukrainian alto-saxophonist Boris Mogilevsky and Rostislav Voitko are going to compete.

In the right corner of the jazz ring is Boris Mogilevsky, a virtuoso musician, and participant Hryhory Parshyn Nonet “The Mingus Project”, B. Mogylevskiy Quartet, Kiev Big Band and projects by Alexey Kogan.

In the left corner of the jazz ring is Rostislav Voitko, the youngest Ukrainian jazzman (he is 18 years old!!!), a brilliant saxophonist and the leader of the quintet JAZZ HABITS. He played at the Alfa Jazz Fest as part of UA Big Band & Micheal Abene in 2016.

Which one is more masterful with his instrument? On whose side spectators and referees will be? We get to know on 20 February.

The second action is an unpredictable jam session by the participants of the fight and stage band. And a stage band on “Jazz ring” is the most outstanding one, it’s Dennis Adu Quintet. One of the most striking and popular Ukrainian groups, whose repertoire is not only jazz standards in new arrangements but original works of Dennis Adu as well.

No stages and podiums, the border between the musicians and the audience erased – the Jazz Battle will take place right in the middle of the hall!
