On February 8, ShekBand: Jazz Family Trio presents “Quest for Beauty” — a journey into the world of original jazz music that captivates with its uniqueness, freshness, and authenticity.

Each composition is an emotional code composed of diverse images: at times light and effortless, at times complex and paradoxical. They are united by the pursuit of that special sense of genuine art that quickens the heartbeat.

The music of ShekBand represents a unique vision of Contemporary Jazz — a bold search for a new musical language and personal identity. At the same time, it is rooted in the traditions of great masters of the past and combines intellectual depth with vivid emotionality, filtered through the lens of youthful spontaneity.
ShekBand has been performing together since 2015 and has already become a winner of more than 50 prestigious jazz competitions, including Tremplin Jazz d’Avignon (France) — a significant contribution to the global recognition of Ukrainian jazz.
Today, the trio shares the stage with world-famous artists such as Maalouf, Daoud, Mammal Hands, Kokoroko, Omar Sosa, and others.
In 2025, ShekBand took part in Jazz in the Park Festival (Romania) and opened several leading Ukrainian events: Jazzloviec Festival, Art Jazz Festival (Rivne), Dzyga Jazz Festival (Lviv), and Jazz Botanic Fest (Odesa).
The band’s debut album The Inflatable Ram, completed one day before the full-scale war, was released in 2022 with support from HGBS Blue Label (Germany) and Taklit Agency (France).
It received numerous positive reviews as an exceptionally mature project created by very young musicians. The trio is currently working on their second album.
