Ray Charles went the hard way before becoming famous. Birth in a very poor family (according to him, only the earth was below), the death of a younger brother right before our eyes, loss of vision at the age of 7, a specialized boarding school, the death of a mother, the overcoming of racial barriers.

But he was one of those who were made stronger by the ordeals.

During his time at school, he learned to play the piano, organ, saxophone, trombone and clarinet, which was his first step into the world of great music. After graduation, Ray took part in many musical projects, performing compositions in the style of jazz and country. And after a short time there was a significant event in music – he became the founder of a new style – soul, combining two distinct genres – blues and gospel.
