The 14th Jazz Kolo International Project will take place with the participation of the legendary musician, one of the most famous tenor saxophonists of Poland and Europe, Piotr Baron, no less famous and popular in Europe, Polish musicians Michal Tokay (piano), Lukasz Zita (drums), Ukrainians Jacob Tsvetinsky (trumpet) and Igor Zakus (bass). Modern European jazz will sound. The program will include its own compositions of musicians.
Piotr Baron is a graduate of the Academy of Music. King of Lipinski in Wroclaw. He has played with prominent jazz artists from Poland, Europe and the USA. He has repeatedly been nominated for the prestigious Frederick Prize and, as winner of Jazz-Top by Jazz Forum Magazine, became its owner in 2015. He has participated in more than a hundred recordings, and his own discography includes 9 albums. The author’s compositions of Peter Baron are performed in theaters of the Krakow, Wroclaw and Slupsk theaters. It combines concert and teaching activities: lectures at music universities in Poland, participates in jazz seminars in the USA, Austria, Czech Republic, Ukraine.
Jazz Kolo is a project created to support Ukrainian jazz, aimed at uniting musicians and developing Ukrainian improvisational music. The project invites the best forces of the country’s music elite, creating a new, unexpected, interesting music product.
