Jeremy Pelt QUINTET

Professional trumpet player with a world name Jeremy Pelt is coming to Kiev. The only one show by jazzman and his quintet will be on 2 October in Caribbean Club.

Here in the ambient club of Kiev, Pelt already played in May with Black Art Jazz Collective. He comes back in with his own band in autumn.

Jeremy Pelt is often called a follower of jazz traditions of Lee Morgan and Freddie Hubbard. But a follower with his own style.

Pelt began to play trumpet in elementary school. First, his heart doesn’t belong to jazz. He loved classics. Once the young Jeremy watch School Jazz Orchestra rehearsal and disappeared.

From that day he began to play jazz and played it every day.

Then he studied jazz improvisation and movies in Berkley. He got a bachelor of Arts degree. He worked with Roy Hargrove, Ravi Coltrane, Greg Osby, Cassandra Austen Wilson and the Mingus Big Band and got solo disc “Profile” for Fresh Sound in 2002 year and has more than a dozen albums, including “Men of Honor”, recorded with Miles Davis’ influence.

Pelt has always been and remains a tireless musician who loves experiments. For example, this year the jazz giant made a record “Make Noise”, where combined the intertwined acoustic jazz and Afro-Latin rhythms.

Jeremy Pelt QUINTET is a team of the best American jazz musicians: Victor Gould at the piano, Vincent Archer on bass, Jonathan Barber on drums, Jacqueline Acevedo on percussion and tube by himself.

Rich rhythms of two percussionists quintet’s music are full of energy, so exhilarating and fascinating music lovers worldwide.
